03 / Infrastructure

Designed for the conditions on the ground.

Power cuts and unreliable connections shape the system from the start. The goal is useful monitoring with small messages, resilient equipment and a clear response plan.

Field trials

Four practical design priorities.

01 / Data

Send only what matters.

Sensor readings and occasional compressed photos keep the intended data footprint small.

02 / Power

Treat power as a signal.

Plan battery-backed grid and solar equipment, and monitor supply health alongside activity.

03 / Connectivity

Expect interruptions.

Specify local alarms and buffered events for offline periods. The prototype identifies devices that stop reporting.

04 / Operations

Design around people.

Agree who receives an alert, who checks the site and who takes over when the first person is unavailable.

One system, from property to response.

Field equipment, connectivity, incident processing and people must work together. End-to-end performance will be measured during the pilot.
